I am proud to be my Dad’s son

I am proud to be my Dad’s Son

People say I belong to garbage! But Do I really? My father says I was a gift! He considers me to be an angel.

The cycle of life resulting to be a mystery, I survived. I had a really good childhood.
Portraying my life, I believe I am lucky to be residing amongst billions of population.

Looking at the stars I question myself if I have everything that people dream of but the only factor that hits me is my satisfaction. Trust me I am satisfied with every thing that I possess.

I have friends, I have my father and more of it I have my luck with me.

People say orphans are unlucky but my dad says every thing in his life got better when he found me crying over the river side.

I am the only child he has. A bit unusual but still my dad and I, we complete our family. His love towards me can never be expressed.

I still remember the day when my father rushed into the house with a joyful smile.

“Son, Guess what?”

“What is it dad? “

“You’ve been admitted in the first grade, you no more need to live like this, you will have every thing in your future; a good life, high living standard, proper meal and good clothes to wear.”

I could see the tears in his eyes.

I was young then, I could not understand what was he talking about but I felt something good had happened.

Father used to work all day long and I used to study. Every thing was good.

I excelled in every exams.

My father was always curious about me going to school and exploring new ideas. Every evening he used to spend time talking to me about my daily learning basis.

He was not educated so he could never help me out with my home works but every day he would sit beside me and watch me do stuffs.

My father is everything for me.

His dream was to see me with a good lifestyle.

I talk to him everyday, I share everything to him.

I am 18 now, all I miss is his presence. He had promised me to never leave me alone and keeping his words he still is with me in each of my life phase.

Every night I look at the shiny star and talk to my dad.

Although his presence makes an impact but looking my dad shine so bright I feel he is happy with whatever I am now and he still believes that someday I will fulfill his dream.

I love You DAD! I will make you Proud.

Am I a loose character?

My name is Jessica and I am 28. I come from a poor family where I am the only child to my paralyzed mother. It has been 15 years that I have not seen my mother walk. She barely can talk. The proper move that she can make is make her eyes wet but never says a word. My childhood had never been better. I was always jealous of what people had by their side. Seeing kids having a good time with their father used to make my heart burn. I remember my mother once told me that my father had left after my birth. He wanted a son but it was his misfortune and my bad luck that he left because I stepped as a girl. The actual reason for him choosing to leave us behind is yet untold. Is it even a valid reason to leave just because he had a baby girl? Why was I dominated since my birth? Bringing up a life as a girl where the head of the family opts to have a different world for himself and the only suffering the mother has to take; the society putting up different accusations on that poor ...

Conclusion!

Accused of disgrace.  Kathy, my mother revealed that I was adopted on my 18th birthday.  Dilemma, does that mean I am special? The word adopt was new for me. I was an adult already but then was I? I never went to school since my dad always told me how cruel the real world is.  “The danger awaits.”, said my dad every 3rd night of a week.  The pain was harsh, tears were now all soaked, my voice was long lost.  Despite of everything I was loved, I grew from stitched clothes to a pair of new Pajamas’.  I had a great family, a loving dad, a cute little angel and a beautiful mother.  From kitchen floor to a store room, I grew up.  The unusual essence the nights had for me.  The midnight did hit with the fear of a ...
